We have made some big changes in the salon this winter.  The salon has been expanded to make room for new stylists, more work space and more waiting area.  (To be honest  we are about out of room!)  Retail salon products have changed and expanded to include the amazing line of Joico shampoos, conditioners and styling products and a few new products on the “best of the best” shelf.  We would like to thank all of our customers for the support and helping the salon become so successful.  This would not be possible without all of you!

Flat Iron Studio is going to start moving into accessory sales as well as salon products.  We will begin with jewelry, hats and sunglasses which are personally my favorite things to buy for myself!  I am very excited to be expanding retail and hope to be able to grow this part of the business as well.

The kids are out of school and summer is almost here!  We have been very busy getting everyone’s hair summer ready! Also we have added 2 new stylist who have blended seamlessly into the salon.  It is so nice to see all the new faces and meet new people.  If you are looking for a new stylist I would recommend looking here!  We are up to 7 stylist with many, many years of experience between them. The holiday season is upon us again!  It feels like it was just summer time with warm weather and sun tans but here we are starting to think about giving thanks and Christmas shopping. We have started making some changes here inside and out.  We made our steps more user friendly and I couldn’t be happier with the way they turned out!  Inside the studio our exciting news is a new addition to our team of stylists!  Flat Iron Studio would like to welcome Jennifer T to our salon!  She is a young talented artist and we can’t wait to see her grow her business.

I realize it is not technically summer yet but my summer starts when my  kids are out of school.  Its time to lay by the pool…get a tan…and wait for my hair to lighten up. So the holidays are over and its the new year!  To start of 2016 we have added a couple new pieces to the salon. We got our reception desk in and my new polish racks that I absolutely love.  I am so excited with how successful December was and all the positive feedback we received.  I would just like to thank each and everyone of you that came in our first month and supported us.  Our customers have been full of compliments when it comes to the company and the atmosphere.  I want to wish all of the staff the best of luck for this upcoming year.  Our plans for this year will include expanding our retail to include nail products and possible cosmetics.  The outside of the building will get a face lift this summer with new siding, new entrance and new signage.  I can not wait!  This is going to be the best year ever.

My husband and I were talking about the salon last night (during one of the short times he was awake) and how we feel that things could not have turned out better.  The poor guy was awake and working for 36 hour straight.  Someone….Chelle needed to do a pedicure on Saturday so he had to stay up all night to build the pedicure unit.  Now it is not quite done but it looks amazing!  He is so talented…anyway, we are just so happy with how everything is going and how happy everyone seems. When we decided to start this journey I was not sure what would happen.  I knew obviously I would be working there again and I had hoped that maybe a friend would join me and well she did.  Then once I was there a week or so a few others decided to come too!  I couldn’t be happier to have them all in the salon to work along side of.  I am so happy to be back in this position that I have even decided to pick up new clients again.  That is a big deal for me as I have only worked part time for a few years.  We also have a new tenant for the front of the building and I hope she enjoys working there as much as we do.  Best of luck to her!  Here are a  few pictures I took tonight after we did a little cleaning and straightening up.
